Executive Summary

Many customers are looking for a curated list of recommended headsets that are fully compatible with the product. This article will assist in selecting the most suitable headset to ensure optimal performance and user experience. Our aim is to cover a range of headsets that cater to different user preferences and professional needs. This list comes directly from our customers, who have vetted and used these devices within their own call centers using the product.

Type of Device

While handling interactions, headsets are recommended rather than using your computer microphone to reduce background noise. When choosing headsets to handle calls, we recommend using a wired headset with a 3.5 mm jack (analog) port. You can use a USB headset, but this option will consume resources from your computer. A noise-canceling microphone with a design that places the microphone close to your mouth will increase audio quality.

We do not recommended wireless or Bluetooth® headsets for professional long-term usage. The battery level may not last for the entire day and as the battery reduces, so does the connectivity range. Wireless devices suffer from interference from other wireless devices in the area, making it a poor option for call centers. Common complaints are bad reception or increased latency, both falsely pointing to a network issue.

If you do choose to use a wireless headset, it is recommended to select one that connects via a USB-A or USB-C dongle rather than on that syncs directly to the computer. This will reduce the risk that the device will disappear and reset if the device goes out of range, since the computer never loses connection to the dongle.
